Denver Metro Queer & Neurodivergent Community Network
Welcome to the Network
Hi. I’m Robee, and I’m building a loose, practical, very human network for queer and neurodivergent people around Denver who need more ways to find each other.
This started from lived need, not a strategic plan. I know what it can feel like to have very little regular, mutual support and to be trying to survive systems that were not built with your nervous system, your relationships, your gender, or your grief in mind. I also know that the answer is not always another polished program. Sometimes the answer is a room where people can tell the truth, a low-pressure event where showing up awkwardly still counts, or one more person who knows where to point someone next.
A lot of this work grew around queer and neurodivergent peer support, including Alternatives to Suicide spaces. I care deeply about crisis alternatives because many of us need places to talk about pain, fear, self-injury, suicidality, burnout, and isolation without being treated like a problem to manage. That does not make this network an emergency service. It makes it a community effort to build more options before isolation is the only voice in the room.
What Is Growing
The network already touches several projects and groups: Joy Hertz, Denver Metro Alternatives to Suicide, Denver Metro Adult AudHD Peer Support, Demi Poly People, Queer & Neurodivergent Business Owners, Joy Scouting, and other ideas that are still seedlings. Some are nonprofit work. Some are meetup spaces. Some are practical technology and organizing infrastructure. All of them are attempts to make care, connection, and useful information easier to reach.
I am also building income and tooling through Mathist Consulting in a way that fits neurodivergent values and needs. That practical side matters: websites, forms, databases, operations, automations, and boring little systems can be care infrastructure when they help the right people find the right room, event, person, or next step.
How You Can Help
Help is welcome. Not in a vague, inspirational way. In a real one. If you know facilitators, care workers, youth organizers, disabled and neurodivergent community builders, queer sports people, business owners, venue hosts, ASL/Deaf/HoH community connectors, mutual-aid folks, or anyone who should know this network exists, please connect us.
You can also help by sharing events, offering gentle practical support, introducing people who should not have to find each other by accident, or telling me when something here could be safer, clearer, warmer, or more accessible.
